A patient typically wears the aligners for 20 to 22 hours daily and changes them weekly.

Dr. Boniadi earned undergraduate degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of California, Irvine, in 1992. An ambitious scholar, she completed both degrees in only four years while working full-time as a dental assistant. Her work as a dental assistant gave her an opportunity to work with a lot of different people and build interpersonal and listening skills that helped shape the dentist she became. In addition to technical skills, critical thinking, and sound judgment, Dr. Boniadi also developed excellent communication skills, which is why she can connect with patients so well.

After graduating from UC Irvine, Dr. Boniadi continued her education at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1996.
